Elizabeth Henry

Elizabeth Henry received her BS Degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina and a MN from the University of South Carolina.   Ms. Henry is the SVP/Patient Care Services/CNO Sparrow Hospital, responsible for Nursing Services, Emergency/Trauma Services, Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse and Surgical Services. 

Ms. Henry’s past experience includes: VP of Operations/CNE at Battle Creek Health System, Senior Advisor to the Deans at Michigan State University, VP of Patient Care Services at Our Lady Of The Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA., and Director of Nursing at Medical Center of Baton Rouge, LA.

She is active on numerous Advisory Boards and local and statewide committees.  She currently serves as a member of the Michigan Task Force for Nursing, Michigan State University College of Nursing Advisory Board, and the Tri-County Emergency Services (TCEMA) Board.  She is also a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Healthcare Executives, Michigan Hospital Association, American Nurses Association, Michigan Nurses Association, American Organization of Nurse Executive, and the Michigan Organization of Nurse Executives.

Under Ms. Henry’s leadership, Sparrow has earned the national prestigious honor for nursing achievement and excellence – recognition as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credential Center.
